Design with Rhythm
London-Based dance company Bollywood Magic were ready to grow, with an established customer base that had got them off the ground. But when the founder Monica faced the prospect of advertising and promoting her company, she had no brand identity to use. So, she reached out to me to create a brand identity that would appeal across marketing materials, digital presence, and printed collateral including t-shirts & bags.
Combining extensive research into the cultural and historic roots of Bollywood with my experience in working with the performing arts, the new logo and supporting graphics feel modern as well as authentic. Based around a mandala device, the logo incorporates bespoke typography and colours influenced by the cinematic posters of Bollywood classics. Developing the mandala into a repeat pattern allowed for letterheads and business cards to use a design inspired by Indian architecture.
